Memory Foam Slipper The Memory Foam Slipper offers a new kind of home footwear for the 21st century. The Visco memory foam that makes up the Memory Foam Slipper was first developed by NASA scientists in their bid to make astronauts more comfortable during take-off, when their bodies are subjected to intense and potentially dangerous G-forces. Additionally, normal coil-spring mattresses were no use in space, where astronauts were expected to sleep for long flights. Visco memory foam is constructed from individual “memory cells” which warm up where your body touches; the warmth causes the material to soften so that your body will sink into the mattress.
The heavier a specific part of your body, the deeper into the mattress it will sink, with the end result being that the mattress is actually shaped to your individual body. As the pressure on your body is even throughout the mattress, no ‘pressure points’ are formed, so there’s no discomfort. The technology was adapted for hospitals to use with bed-ridden patients, who would often develop uncomfortable bedsores after spending weeks on the same bed with little movement.

The Memory Foam Slipper can be purchased through the Miles Kimball company, combining the aforementioned Visco Memory Foam technology with non-slip soles and plush velour uppers.
